TextBlob
FreePython library for sentiment analysis, tagging and text classification
What is TextBlob?
TextBlob is an open-source Python library that wraps common natural language processing tasks in a simple API. Developers use it for part-of-speech tagging, noun phrase extraction, sentiment analysis and training text classifiers without much setup.
You wrap a string in a TextBlob object and read properties such as tags, noun phrases, sentences and sentiment polarity. It builds on NLTK and pattern, and also supports tokenization, word inflection, n-grams and simple classifiers such as Naive Bayes trained on your own labeled data.
Because it favors simplicity over the latest models, it suits prototypes, teaching and lightweight scripts more than production-grade language understanding. The project is free under the MIT license and is documented on Read the Docs.
