What is Keras?
Keras is an open-source Python API for building and training deep learning models, designed for readable, concise code. Since Keras 3 the same model code runs on JAX, PyTorch or TensorFlow, from a laptop to TPUs.
Models are built from layers with a functional or sequential API and trained with a single fit call. Because the backend is pluggable, teams can switch frameworks to use the strengths of each ecosystem without rewriting their models.
KerasHub supplies pretrained models with presets, including language models such as Gemma and image generators such as Stable Diffusion 3. Keras RS covers recommender systems and KerasTuner handles hyperparameter search, with extensive guides and code examples in the docs.
