Mesa
FreemiumVersioned filesystem and branching storage for AI agents
What is Mesa?
Mesa gives AI agents a virtual filesystem backed by versioned repositories, so many agents can work in parallel on instant branches while every change is tracked. Developers building agent systems use its SDK to mount files wherever their agents run.
With the npm SDK you create a versioned directory, mount it in-process with read or write access, and let the agent read, write and run Unix commands inside it. Changes are attributed to the agent as author, and the same data is reachable over Git and a REST API.
Reads and writes are designed to finish in under 50 milliseconds. Billing is by storage and Git or REST egress, with a free allowance applied automatically and no metering on the virtual filesystem itself. Enterprise options include self-hosting and committed-use pricing.
