What is CodeSandbox?
CodeSandbox provides isolated cloud development environments that developers and AI agents can spin up through an SDK to run untrusted code. Now part of Together AI, it targets teams building coding agents, code interpreters and in-browser playgrounds.
Each sandbox runs in its own microVM, so generated code can't affect your systems. VMs start, clone and restore from snapshots in about two seconds, hibernate after a period you choose, and resume later with their state intact, which suits long-running agent sessions.
Agents can be given a sandbox to complete a user's prompt, or run autonomously inside one. CodeSandbox also offers browser-based sandboxes for prototyping, the Sandpack library for live code editors on web pages, and a Storybook integration that adds a code playground to each story.
