TraceRoot
FreemiumOpen-source tracing that finds AI agent failures and drafts the fixes
What is TraceRoot?
TraceRoot traces AI agents in production, groups failures that share a root cause and hands them to your coding agent to fix. It is an open-source alternative to Braintrust, backed by Y Combinator, for teams running agents on live traffic.
Setup runs through a CLI that adds the Python or TypeScript SDK to your app and confirms that traces arrive. Detectors then flag runs with problems such as unexpected inputs or broken policy checks, cluster related traces into signals and point to the code change that caused them.
Each signal shows occurrences over time, the grouped traces and a root-cause note, so a coding agent can ship a verified fix as a pull request. The platform is open source, with a hosted app, docs and a public changelog.
