vLLM
FreeHigh-throughput open-source engine for serving LLMs in production
What is vLLM?
vLLM is an open-source inference and serving engine for large language models, known for high throughput through PagedAttention and continuous batching. It is the default way many companies and cloud providers serve open models on GPUs.
vLLM exposes an OpenAI-compatible server, supports tensor and pipeline parallelism, quantization, speculative decoding, prefix caching and LoRA adapters. It runs on NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, TPU and other hardware.
The project began at UC Berkeley and is now part of the PyTorch Foundation, with contributors from many companies. It is free under the Apache 2.0 license.
