What is MLflow?
MLflow is an open-source platform for managing the machine learning lifecycle, from experiment tracking and model registry to tracing and evaluating generative AI apps. It was created by Databricks and is one of the most widely deployed MLOps tools.
MLflow Tracing captures LLM and agent calls with OpenTelemetry compatibility, and its evaluation tools score outputs with built-in and custom judges. The model registry handles versions, stages and deployment.
It is free to run anywhere, and managed versions are offered by Databricks and major clouds. Many ML frameworks, including PyTorch and scikit-learn, log to MLflow out of the box.
