Hachi
FreemiumOffline natural-language search across your own photos and videos
What is Hachi?
Hachi indexes your personal image and video collections on your own computer so you can find scenes, objects or people by typing a description. Face recognition lets you tag someone once and pull up every photo they appear in, all without uploading anything.
After a one-time indexing pass, searches run against a local database, either inside a single video while it plays or across everything you have indexed. The app works offline by default, which the maker stresses for private family footage.
The free version on GitHub covers image and video search plus face recognition, while the paid version sold on Gumroad adds live video search, better video results, unlimited indexing, email support and a year of updates. It needs a quad-core x86_64 CPU with AVX2 and at least 4 GB of RAM.
