What is Private LLM?
Private LLM runs open-source language models directly on Apple devices, so conversations stay on the device with no cloud, tracking or login. It supports models such as DeepSeek R1 distills, Llama 3.3, Qwen3, Gemma 3 and Phi 4.
The app offers over 140 local models, browsable by use case such as coding, roleplay, reasoning, multilingual or biomedical, and by device. Models use OmniQuant and GPTQ quantization tuned per model, and the app works with Apple Shortcuts.
It is sold as a one-time purchase with no subscription, which unlocks the app on all your Apple devices and your Family Sharing group. The same team has a new app, Private Diffusion, for running image models locally, now in beta.
