What is Sprite Fusion?
Sprite Fusion is a free web-based tilemap editor for 2D game levels that now includes an AI pixel art generator and animator. Indie game developers use it to draw levels and create sprites, then export straight to their engine.
You drag in any tileset, paint levels with single or multi-tile selection and use built-in auto-tiling and collisions. Maps export as native Unity, Godot or Defold tilemaps, or as JSON, TMX and PNG.
The AI tools generate pixel art from prompts and animate it, and extra utilities include a pixel snapper and normal map generator. There is a desktop version, free tilesets and palettes, an API and an MCP connection.
