What is Semrush?
Semrush is a search marketing suite for keyword research, rank tracking, site audits, backlink analysis and competitor research. It now also tracks how brands appear in AI answers, and has been part of Adobe since April 2026.
Marketers use it to find keywords and content gaps, monitor rankings, audit technical SEO issues and study competitors' traffic and ad spend. Toolkits cover SEO, content, local listings, social and paid ads, and the AI visibility tools show which prompts mention a brand in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI results.
Data feeds into Adobe's Brand Visibility and CX products for enterprise teams, while smaller teams can still buy Semrush plans directly. It connects to Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
