What is PaddlePaddle?
PaddlePaddle (飞桨) is Baidu's open-source deep learning platform for building, training and deploying neural networks. It is widely used in China by researchers and companies, and supports both dynamic and static computation graphs.
The framework includes large-scale distributed training and an inference engine that targets servers, mobile and edge devices, so a model can go from training to deployment in one toolchain. Official model libraries cover vision, language, speech and recommendation tasks.
Popular projects built on it include PaddleOCR for text recognition, PaddleNLP and PaddleDetection, and Baidu's ERNIE models are trained with it. Documentation and the main site are mostly in Chinese, with English docs and code on GitHub.
