marimo
FreeReactive Python notebook stored as plain Python, with AI help
What is marimo?
marimo is an open-source reactive notebook for Python where cells rerun automatically when their inputs change. Notebooks are saved as plain Python files, so they work with Git and can run as scripts or web apps.
Because cells form a dependency graph, there is no hidden state from running cells out of order. Built-in AI can generate cells, explain code and work with your data frames, and SQL cells query databases directly. molab is the hosted version, now running on CoreWeave, which acquired marimo in 2025 and kept the project open source.
