What is Helicone?
Helicone routes and logs requests to LLM providers so teams can monitor, debug and analyze their AI applications. Developers add it in front of OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure, Together AI, OpenRouter and other APIs to track cost, latency and sessions.
The dashboard shows each request, groups them into sessions and segments, tracks per-user analytics and supports custom properties. HQL, Helicone's query language, lets you dig into logs, and alerts, reports and rate limits help keep production apps reliable. Prompt management, datasets and a playground support iteration.
The project is open source on GitHub. The free Hobby plan covers 10,000 requests a month, Pro and Team add unlimited seats and compliance features on top of usage-based billing, and discounts exist for startups, nonprofits, open-source companies and students.
