Emdash
FreeOpen-source desktop app for running coding agents in parallel
What is Emdash?
Emdash is a free, open-source agentic development environment where you run coding agents like Claude Code and Codex side by side, each in its own Git worktree. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux and works with any coding agent.
You can pull issues from Linear, Jira, GitHub, Notion or Asana and hand them to an agent with full context. Each task keeps its own branch, terminal, conversation and review state, and a built-in browser previews the app you're working on. Diffs, commits, pull requests and CI checks are handled without leaving the app.
Recurring agent runs can be scheduled for chores like weekly bug sweeps or release prep, and agents can run on a remote dev server, cloud VM or GPU machine over SSH. Prompts, skills and MCP tools are managed in one place. The project is backed by Y Combinator, and version 2.0 is in early access.
