BabyAGI
FreeExperimental open-source framework for a self-building autonomous agent
What is BabyAGI?
BabyAGI is an open-source Python project by Yohei Nakajima exploring autonomous agents that can build their own functions. The original 2023 version popularized task-planning agents; the current release is an experimental framework, not meant for production.
Its core is functionz, a framework that stores, manages and runs functions from a database, tracking imports, dependencies and secrets in a graph with automatic loading and logging. A web dashboard lets you manage functions, run updates and read logs.
You install it with pip, register functions in Python and open the dashboard on a local port. The original task-planning version is preserved in a separate archive repository.
