ArticleCast

ArticleCast is an iPhone app that researches the web around topics you choose and turns what it finds into a personalized audio briefing. When something deserves a closer listen, you can add an article, PDF or link to your queue, which suits people who prefer listening to scrolling.

The app discovers stories, researches the context, summarizes them and narrates the result, so it does more than read a page aloud. Briefings differ for each listener based on their interests.

Playback works in the background with lock-screen controls, and episodes can be downloaded for offline listening. A browser extension lets you send pages to the app while you read on a computer.
