What is What the Food?

What the Food estimates the calories, protein, carbs and fat in a meal from a photo, so you can track what you eat without logging every item by hand. It is aimed at people watching their weight, fitness or general eating habits.

After a food photo is uploaded, the scanner identifies the dish, estimates portions and breaks down the macros, and results build up across days so you can spot trends. It can also create meal plans around goals, allergies and diets such as keto or low-carb, and turn a meal into recipe steps.

The free tier is a short trial of three scans with ads. Premium removes ads and adds unlimited scans, full scan history, a serving size adjuster and a customizable widget.
