What is Sourcegraph?
Sourcegraph is a code search platform that lets engineers and AI agents search and understand code across thousands of repositories. Deep Search answers questions about the codebase using an agent that runs searches for you. It is sold to enterprises, and its Cody assistant is enterprise-only.
Sourcegraph connects to GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and other hosts, and indexes every branch for fast exact and regex search. Batch Changes apply edits across many repos at once. The company spun its Amp coding agent out as a separate business in late 2025 and now focuses on code context for teams and agents.
