Modal
Freemium · $250/moServerless cloud for running Python and GPU workloads on demand
What is Modal?
Modal is a serverless platform where developers run Python functions, model inference, batch jobs and training on GPUs without managing servers. You define infrastructure in Python code, and containers start in seconds and scale to zero when idle.
Common uses include serving open models, running fine-tuning jobs, batch embedding, sandboxes for AI agents and scheduled data pipelines. Billing is per second of CPU and GPU time.
The free Starter plan includes a monthly compute credit, which covers small experiments. Team and Enterprise plans add higher GPU concurrency, more seats, longer log retention and support.
Features
- Infrastructure as Python code
- Fast container starts
- Per-second GPU billing
- Agent sandboxes
- Scheduled jobs
