ml5.js
FreeBeginner-friendly JavaScript library for machine learning in the browser
What is ml5.js?
ml5.js is an open-source JavaScript library that makes machine learning models usable in the browser for artists, creative coders and students. It sits on top of TensorFlow.js and adds no other dependencies, so a sketch can track hands or classify images with a few lines.
Ready-made models include BodyPose for full-body pose estimation, HandPose for finger tracking, FaceMesh for facial landmarks, an image classifier and a sound classifier. A NeuralNetwork module lets you train your own small models on data collected in the page.
The project is popular in creative coding classes and pairs well with p5.js, and The Coding Train and other educators publish video tutorials for it. A recent release introduced breaking changes, and the site explains how to reach the previous version and its docs.
