Linglass
FreemiumDual subtitles and AI grammar help for learning on YouTube and Netflix
What is Linglass?
Linglass is a browser extension and iOS app for learning languages from YouTube and Netflix with dual subtitles, click-to-translate and pronunciation shown in IPA, Pinyin or Romaji. An AI grammar tool explains why the sentence on screen is built the way it is.
Translations read the whole sentence so you get the meaning in context. Saved words become flashcards scheduled with the FSRS algorithm, each with a screenshot and the subtitle audio clip, and the grammar breakdowns are pitched at CEFR, JLPT, HSK or TOPIK levels.
It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Yandex, plus iPhone and iPad, and covers more than 20 languages. Linglass presents itself as an alternative to Language Reactor and is free to start without a card.
