Hands Off
Free trialDesktop app that spots nail biting on your webcam and interrupts it
What is Hands Off?
Hands Off runs in the background on Mac and Windows and uses on-device AI to watch your webcam for nail biting, skin picking and hair pulling. When your hand moves toward your face it shows a full-screen alert, helping people break unconscious habits while they work.
The app covers five body-focused repetitive behaviors: nail biting, skin picking, eyebrow or eyelash pulling, ear picking and nose picking, each with its own settings. A statistics view tracks how often you were caught over time, and the idea is that repeated alerts train you to notice the habit yourself.
All detection happens locally, no video is recorded and no webcam data leaves the computer. After a three-day free trial it costs a small monthly fee, and you can cancel at any time.
