getTxt.AI pulls text or Markdown out of PDFs, office files, scans, audio and video through one API call, using OCR and speech-to-text. Developers building LLM pipelines are the main audience, and the same call can also summarize or translate the result.
Supported inputs include PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX and RTF documents, JPG, PNG and TIFF images, MP3 and WAV audio, and MP4 or MOV video. You pass file URLs, pick plain text or Markdown as the output, and can ask for a short and long summary or a translation into one of more than 50 languages.
Besides the API there are browser tools for PDF to text, image to text, audio transcription and YouTube transcripts. Billing uses prepaid credit packs rather than a subscription, and new accounts receive some free credits for testing.
