CodeTrain
FreemiumSocratic AI coding tutor that makes you write every line
What is CodeTrain?
CodeTrain is an AI tutor that teaches programming by breaking a real task on a real repository into small steps, asking questions and running your tests, but never writing the code for you. It is for self-taught developers and teams ramping engineers onto a codebase.
Lessons can be built from any public GitHub repository you paste in, such as requests, Flask or lodash, and run in the browser for Python and JavaScript. Every step must run and pass before you move on, so progress reflects working code rather than a completion percentage.
Individuals get ten lessons a month free without a card. A team option records what each engineer actually learned, and a free Open Skill brings the tutor into an existing coding agent. The product is in beta and is made by InferHaven.
