What is Graphite?
Graphite is a code review platform built around stacked pull requests, with an AI agent that reviews changes and answers questions. It works on top of GitHub with a CLI, VS Code extension and web inbox. Cursor acquired Graphite in late 2025.
Stacking lets developers split big changes into small dependent PRs that are easier to review and merge. The Graphite Agent leaves review comments, suggests fixes and can chat about a PR. A merge queue handles stacked merges safely, and a free Hobby plan covers personal repos.
