BrowseGPT
FreeOpen-source Chrome extension that lets an LLM click and type for you
What is BrowseGPT?
BrowseGPT is a free, open-source Chrome extension that carries out web tasks you describe in plain English. An AI model decides what to click, type or open next in your current tab and explains the reason behind every step.
The extension turns the open page into a compact numbered outline of links, buttons and inputs, sends it with your goal and previous steps to a language model, and gets back one command: click, enter text, navigate or done. It repeats that loop until the task is finished, which suits searches on booking sites, product comparisons and simple forms.
It uses Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5 by default and can be switched to OpenAI GPT models. The extension and server code are on GitHub, so you can run it locally with your own API key and use it to prototype LLM-driven web agents.
