BitDive
FreemiumFeeds real Java runtime traces to coding agents and turns them into tests
What is BitDive?
BitDive records method calls, SQL queries and parameters from running Java applications and serves that context to AI coding agents over MCP. Agents in Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf or GitHub Copilot can check real behavior before and after a change.
Before coding, an agent pulls a full execution trace with payloads and call hierarchy. After a change it captures a new trace and compares it with the baseline, and the same approach drives runtime pull-request reviews against the main branch.
Captured traces can become JUnit unit tests with auto-mocked collaborators, Spring integration tests with external calls replayed, or Testcontainers tests against real databases. It is free for individual developers, with private cloud, self-hosted and air-gapped options for companies.
Features
- Runtime context via MCP
- Before and after trace diffs
- Method-level observability
- Tests generated from traces
- Self-hosted deployment
