FreemiumUnfiltered text and voice roleplay with custom AI characters
What is Backyard AI?
Backyard AI is a character chat app for fictional text and voice conversations, with a hub of thousands of community characters and no content filters. Storytellers and roleplayers use it on the web and on Android and iOS.
Characters can be given distinct voices and audio, and Lorebooks add background context, history and memories for a setting. An Author's Note steers genre, mood and the current scene, while Grammars constrain how a character responds or structures a story.
You can browse and chat with characters made by others or build your own. Getting started is free without a credit card, and paid subscriptions add more features.
