What is Talkie?
Talkie is a character chat app from Chinese AI company MiniMax that focuses on expressive voices and interactive stories. Users chat with community-made characters or design their own, including appearance, personality and a generated voice.
Conversations can unlock collectible cards tied to each character, which adds a game layer to roleplay. Creators can tune a character's traits in a testing console and may earn a revenue share from purchases related to their characters.
The free tier includes ads and a daily message cap. Talkie+ removes ads, raises limits and speeds up replies, and the app runs on Android, iOS and the web.
