What is AI Horde?
AI Horde is a distributed network where volunteers run workers on their own GPUs so anyone can generate images and text for free. It is open source, exposes a REST API, and powers a range of community front ends and tools.
Users can generate images and run alchemy tasks in the browser, or call the REST API from their own apps. People who contribute compute by running a worker, or who donate, earn kudos, which move them up the queue when demand is high.
The project is run by the Haidra community led by db0, with code on GitHub and a Discord, Patreon and Mastodon presence. A live status page shows workers, queue length and throughput for images, text and alchemy.
