What is WeDetect?
WeDetect analyses an uploaded photo or screenshot and estimates whether it came from an AI image generator such as Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Flux or Grok. It is free, needs no account and deletes images after analysis.
You drag, paste or upload a PNG, JPG, WEBP or HEIC file and get a verdict of likely real or likely AI-generated. The site reports roughly 89% accuracy on modern generators, publishes where the detector is weak and warns that results are an estimate, not proof.
A separate metadata checker inspects image data for extra clues. Suggested uses include checking product photos when shopping online, rental listings, insurance claim photos, dating profiles and images in news stories, and verdicts can be shared without sharing the image.
