TypeFire
Freemium · $18 one-timeMac text expander with AI prompts, clipboard history and notes
What is TypeFire?
TypeFire is a text expander, clipboard manager and markdown notes app for Mac, with a Chrome extension for other systems. Snippets can call AI to rewrite selected text in any app, using Apple Intelligence or your own API key.
Give any block of text a short abbreviation and it expands in every Mac app and website, with fill-in fields, dates and rich text. AI snippets and Selection Prompts let you highlight text and replace it with a rewritten version, and Prompt Chains run several steps in a row.
Notes can point at an existing Obsidian-style markdown vault behind a hotkey. TypeFire also connects to Claude, Cursor and Codex over MCP so those assistants can use your snippets. Most of the app is free, and Pro is a single payment covering three Macs and three browsers.
