talat
FreemiumOn-device meeting transcription and AI notes for Mac and Windows
What is talat?
talat records and transcribes meetings, dictation and audio files entirely on your own computer, then writes summaries, action items and chapters. It is aimed at people who want an AI note-taker without sending conversations to a cloud service.
It captures both sides of a call, starts recording automatically when Zoom, Teams or Meet begins, and reads Apple and Google calendars. Speaker identification learns voices over time. A global hotkey turns speech into text in any app, with optional LLM cleanup of filler words.
Notes run on a built-in Qwen model or on Claude, OpenAI or Ollama if you choose. Transcripts export to Markdown, Obsidian, PDF or a webhook, and an MCP connector lets assistants import and read recordings. You get ten free hours, then pay monthly, yearly or once.
