What is Restore Old Photos?
Restore Old Photos fixes scratches, fading and lost detail in old prints and scans while trying to keep the original look of faces and texture. It is aimed at families restoring portraits and keepsakes who do not want to edit by hand.
You upload a photo up to 20 MB, optionally write instructions of up to 2,000 characters, and each restoration uses four credits. The tool analyses faces, lighting and surrounding detail to balance tones, and results can be downloaded at a resolution suitable for printing.
The site recommends scanned originals or sharp phone photos for the best results. Subscriptions hand out a monthly allowance of credits, and all restored images can be saved and downloaded without extra charges.
