Portkey
Freemium · $49/moAI gateway with observability, guardrails and prompt management
What is Portkey?
Portkey sits between your app and LLM providers as a gateway that routes, retries and balances requests through one API, and logs every call for monitoring. It is now part of Palo Alto Networks, where the enterprise edition is sold as Prisma AIRS AI Gateway.
The gateway adds fallbacks, load balancing and retries across many models from a model catalog, while observability shows logs, traces, metrics, feedback and alerts in real time. Guardrails check inputs and outputs, prompt management versions prompts, and governance adds budgets, rate limits, RBAC and SSO.
Plans are priced by recorded logs, and requests beyond the log limit still go through. Enterprises can deploy it in their own environment with custom retention and evaluation templates, and the free tier is meant for prototyping rather than production.
