PhotoScissors
Freemium · $29.99 one-timeAutomatic background remover online and as a desktop app
What is PhotoScissors?
PhotoScissors cuts the subject out of a photo automatically and lets you swap the background for transparency, a solid color or another image. The web version handles JPG, PNG and WebP uploads, and a desktop app for Windows and Mac processes images offline without size limits.
Standard-definition results can be downloaded free online, while high-resolution downloads use credits that get cheaper in bulk. The desktop edition is a one-time purchase that also lets you move the object within the photo and apply filters to the foreground or background.
An API is available for developers who want to automate background removal. The same maker sells Inpaint for removing unwanted objects, and both can be bought together in a bundle.
