What is NuExtract?
NuExtract is NuMind's family of vision-language models built to pull structured data and clean text out of documents. The models are open on Hugging Face and also power a hosted platform used in insurance, banking and healthcare.
You define the fields you want and NuExtract returns them as structured JSON, or you run it as an OCR model to get Markdown from scanned pages and PDFs. The latest release, NuExtract3, adds reasoning and is reported to beat similarly sized general models on extraction benchmarks.
Companies can use the SaaS platform or deploy the models privately inside their own infrastructure. NuMind also publishes research, including the NuNER entity recognition work presented at EMNLP 2024.
