NoteOperator
FreeMarkdown notes workspace that AI agents can read and edit over MCP
What is NoteOperator?
NoteOperator is a Markdown editor with a built-in MCP server, so assistants like Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor can list, read, create and edit your documents. It targets solo builders and small teams who find Notion too heavy.
The editor has a split-pane live preview, a formatting toolbar, autosave and PDF export. Documents are private by default, and any one can be made public and shared by link without readers needing an account.
For agents, you create scoped API keys with separate view, edit and delete permissions and add the server to your MCP client with one command. Exposed tools cover listing folders, reading documents, appending content and replacing ranges, and keys can be revoked at any time.
