MinusX
Freemium · $40/moOpen-source BI platform run by a data agent that learns your business
What is MinusX?
MinusX is a business intelligence tool built around an AI data agent that answers questions, builds dashboards, sets alerts and drafts reports from your company data. It targets founders and small teams, and can be self-hosted or used as a managed cloud.
The agent writes SQL, but it also maintains metric definitions and documentation, and it picks up context such as how your company defines ARR or active users from each interaction. Evals let you test whether its answers stay correct, and analyses can be turned into slide decks or scrolling data stories.
A SQL editor and point-and-click query builder sit next to the agent for manual work, with charts like maps, funnels and heatmaps. You can ask questions from Slack or expose MinusX through an MCP server to other AI agents, and bringing your own LLM keys cuts the cloud price in half.
