What is MCP Playground?
MCP Playground lets developers connect to any Model Context Protocol server from the browser, explore its tools, prompts and resources, and debug calls with live JSON-RPC logs. It also generates evals and agent-readiness checks for teams building MCP servers.
The agent studio connects up to four servers at once over HTTP, SSE, Streamable HTTP or local stdio, and runs one prompt across up to four of more than 60 models to compare speed, cost and accuracy. Every tool call shows its full request, response, latency and credit cost.
Evals are written from your own tools and graded automatically, and a readiness check rates each tool description and suggests rewrites. Other tools include an OWASP MCP Top 10 security scanner, mock servers, a client config generator, a token counter and a registry of thousands of servers, plus desktop apps for Mac and Windows.
