What is Figma Autoname?
Figma Autoname is a free, open-source plugin that looks at your design layers and gives them descriptive names in one click. It leaves component and instance names untouched, which keeps design files tidy without manual renaming.
You select frames or a whole page and run the plugin, and a machine learning model assigns a name to each layer based on its content. Components and instances are detected and skipped so library names stay intact.
A newer option lets you import your own Teachable Machine model, so teams can train the naming on their own interface patterns. The code is published under the MIT licence and contributions are welcome.
