Ethertext
FreeMac menu bar tool that rewrites whatever is on your clipboard
What is Ethertext?
Ethertext is a macOS app that runs AI transforms on text you have copied. Copy something, pick a transform from the menu bar, and paste the result. You supply your own OpenAI, Google Gemini or Anthropic key, or run local models through Ollama.
Transforms can fix text in one shot, change its tone or style, or explain, debug and translate code snippets. Keyboard shortcuts cover cleaning text, dictating and transcribing your voice, capturing text from a screenshot and recalling saved items.
It can memorize text or web pages so you can ask questions about them later. It requires macOS 14 or newer and installs by direct download or with Homebrew.
