Cloudera AI is the machine learning and generative AI part of Cloudera's hybrid data platform, formerly Cloudera Machine Learning and Data Science Workbench. Large companies use it to build, deploy and govern models on data held in the cloud or on premises.
It includes AI Workbench for shared data science workspaces, AI Inference for serving models, AI Studios for building applications, and AI Assistants. These sit on the same platform as Cloudera's lakehouse, data engineering, data warehouse and streaming services, so security and governance rules carry across.
On Cloudera's cloud, services are billed per Cloudera Compute Unit, with machine learning listed at $0.20 per CCU and AI Inference at $0.25 per CCU, and GPU instances priced differently. On-premises deployments are sold as annual subscriptions through sales.
