ChordGen
FreeFree AI chord progression generator with MIDI export
What is ChordGen?
ChordGen writes chord progressions from a plain-language prompt such as "rainy day jazz" or "sad piano chords in A minor" and plays them on an on-screen piano. Songwriters, producers and music students can download the result as a free MIDI file without an account.
Each prompt returns three different progressions, and you can set how many chords you want. Every chord appears on a keyboard you can listen to, and you can drag chords to reorder them, swap one out or delete it until the progression fits.
The exported .mid files drop straight into Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Cubase or any other DAW. There are no scale pickers or preset menus; genre, key and mood all come from the text you type.
