Basmo
FreemiumReading tracker with an AI ChatBook for questions about books
What is Basmo?
Basmo is a reading app that tracks reading time, keeps a reading journal and stores highlights, with an AI ChatBook that lets you chat about the books you read. Readers can ask it for summaries, explanations or extra background on a story.
ChatBook answers questions about a book, summarizes chapters or themes, and explains passages, and a web demo lets you try it before installing. The rest of the app covers reading sessions, a digital library, scanning and highlighting quotes from printed pages and noting how a book made you feel.
Basmo can also export your Kindle highlights so they sit next to your other notes. It is aimed at avid readers who want one place for reading habits, quotes, reflections and AI help understanding what they read.
