Appen supplies training data, annotation and evaluation for companies building AI models, drawing on a global workforce and its own annotation platform. Services range from RLHF and red teaming for frontier models to LiDAR labeling for robotics.

Its data products cover reasoning traces and expert RLHF for alignment, agent trajectories and RL environments, speech corpora and vision-language annotation, sensor-fusion labeling for physical AI, and repository-level coding datasets. Model integrity work includes hallucination benchmarking and bias audits.

Work runs through the AI Data Platform (ADAP), which mixes automation with human review, and Appen also sells off-the-shelf datasets. The company is listed on the ASX, holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications and covers more than 500 locales.
