What is Udio?
Udio generates songs with vocals from text prompts and lyrics and is known for high audio fidelity and detailed editing tools. After settling with Universal Music Group in 2025 it disabled downloads, and songs now stay inside the platform for personal listening and sharing.
You can still create, extend, inpaint and remix tracks in the web app, with controls for structure and vocals. Udio is building a licensed service with major labels, announced under the name Starstruck, where fans remix songs from opted-in artists inside a walled garden.
