What is Resume Matcher?
Resume Matcher is a free, open-source tool that rewrites a master resume to fit a pasted job description and produces an ATS score and cover letter. Software engineers use it locally with Ollama or another AI provider so their work history stays on their laptop.
You upload a PDF or DOCX once, edit it in the builder, then paste a job description. Each change is shown as a before-and-after diff and nothing is saved until you confirm, which helps avoid made-up metrics. A match view highlights job keywords your resume already contains.
Tailored resumes you confirm are added as cards to a Kanban board of applications. The interface is available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Chinese, and the code is hosted on GitHub.
