What is PhonicMind?
PhonicMind separates songs into lead vocals, backing vocals and individual instrument stems in the browser. Version 2.0 also detects lyrics, chords and tempo, so singers, DJs and producers can build karaoke tracks, practice mixes or remix material.
Instead of asking you to choose which parts to extract, PhonicMind V.2.0 analyses the whole track, recognizes which of its 16 stem classes are present and splits them in one pass. An interactive player lets you mute or solo stems, edit timed lyrics and export any custom mix.
The service has run since 2016 and was early to offer four-stem splits online. Plans differ by processing speed, maximum song length and export quality, from MP3 karaoke on Sing to 320 kbps playback and lossless exports on Studio. A one-time single-song option is also sold.
